Eats in Greece. Pt 2: Souvlaki

33067-960x720-souvlaki-mit-tsatsiki.jpg

What:

Chunks of meat grilled on skewers. Most popular is the pork variant, though chicken and beef are common. While this can be eaten as is (I did this once and it was heavenly! The meat just melted in my mouth and was so flavourful), its gyro variant is more widely preferred. If meat is what you’re craving without the fluff (bread, salads and tzatziki), pick up a souvlaki! if you want a more filling meal, though, go for the more wholesome gyro.

Where:

At every corner in every city in Greece.

How much:

Small shops charge you 1 EUR (yaaaasss!), while “fine dining” places may set you back by 10-12 EUR.
